As is true with all the WARRIOR masks, the warrior himself represents Man's need to protect Nature. In this piece, he is being calmed by the force of Woman and love.

The elements of this mask include the following:

Represents tranquility imposed by the force of Woman over the natural protective aggression of Man.

∙ Cactus Leaf / Hoja de cacto / ___________
(over the eyes, above the snake)
Represents the healing properties of plants afforded by Nature.

Blue Morpho / Mariposa Azúl / Fufu

The Blue Morpho is demonstrating a calming effect over the warrior who is angry over the destruction of the forest because of greed and corruption.

The Blue Morpho is the national butterfly of Costa Rica. Its gorgeous blue wings flutter gracefully through fields and forests throughout the country. For the Malekus, the bright blue of the Morpho represents the color of love.
